Project no.: YABIMO/Z/048

A steel load-bearing structure for sun screens, Norway

The Project included design, prefabrication, delivery and assembly of stainless steel and glass constructions on a newly built office facility designed for companies from Oil&Gas and financial sector. Project documentation preparation and project logistics.

The project scope consisted of performance of a steel load-bearing structure for sun screens with performance of glass screen coating at the same time. Approximately 12 tonnes of hot-galvanised S235 black steel, with an additional anti-corrosion protection by painting with a set of JOTUN paints using a hydrodynamic method shall be used to a coating thickness of 80 microns in RAL 9007. The steel construction was completed with toughened, laminated panes of glass 8mm thick. The combination of steel and glass was performed with exceptional aesthetics because of architectural values which have to be retained.
