Commerce Day in Iceland

If you’re in Iceland today you may notice shops are closed. That’s because today Iceland is celebrating a public holiday. The Commerce Day is known in Icelandic as ‘Verslunarmannahelgi’ which means ‘merchants weekend’ and is a popular time for festivals and celebrations across Iceland.

On this special day, we wish our friends in Iceland a well-deserved and relaxed day off.
