Design works and prefabrication of steel construction elements, Norway

YABIMO had a chance to start cooperation with a large mining company on the west coast of Norway. In this project YABIMO engineers were involved in design works which included: preparation of static calculations of the main construction elements, checking the correctness of the static schemes of individual elements and the correctness of the adopted design assumptions, optimization calculations, preparation of workshop documentation of steel elements that are out of YABIMO delivery scope, execution of foundation drawings, concrete elements drawings, architectural drawings and visualizations, drawings of non-steel elements and strength calculation of bolted / welded connections.

Based on this YABIMO performed prefabrication of steel construction elements. We used mix of steel S355, S235 and Hardox. The production was according to EXC2, EN 1090. The total weight of steel was more than 60 tons. We had to prepare parts in two stages, because that was one of the customer requirements. Due to dimensions of steel elements and for security from the damage of them during the delivery we ordered 5 trucks. The project was finished a week before the agreed time of delivery.
