Lajkonik Cup 2025 – a celebration of youth handball

The Lajkonik Cup, the most prestigious handball tournament in Poland, took place from 26–28 September 2025 in Kraków. The event brought together young athletes from across the country and abroad, with an impressive 81 matches played: 47 in the girls’ category and 34 in the boys’ category.

At YABIMO, we are proud to support the SKS Kusy Kraków girls’ team, which earlier this year won second place at the Rema 1000 Handballfestivalen 2025 in Stord. This time, the team went one step further, delivering an outstanding performance and claiming first place at the Lajkonik Cup. The tournament in Kraków also featured girls’ and boys’ teams from Stord, who traveled to Poland to compete in the Lajkonik Cup.

The tournament was made even more special by the presence of Janek Mela from Kamiński Academy – traveler, social activist, and motivational speaker, who, as the youngest person in history and a person with a disability, reached both the North and South Poles. At the tournament, he gave an inspiring speech and presented medals to the winners. Teams that did not reach the podium received vouchers for mental resilience workshops conducted by his academy.

For YABIMO, supporting young talent is an investment in the future, both in sport and in society. We are proud to be part of this journey.
