Grunnlovsdagen – Norway’s Constitution Day
Not everywhere a national holiday is celebrated as joyously as in Norway. On 17th May, Norwegians crowd the streets, celebrating the anniversary of the country’s adoption of a constitution in 1814. On this day, everyone greets one another with a joyful “Gratulerer med dagen” meaning: all the best!
Wising you all in Norway:
Gratulerer med dagen!
Hipp, hipp, hurra!
Enjoy the day!
