Valhall PWP-Fenris Begins Its Journey Offshore

The Valhall PWP-Fenris topside has departed from the Aker Solutions yard in Stord and is now on its way to the Valhall field in the North Sea.

This marks a major milestone for the entire project. Following years of engineering, fabrication, integration and commissioning, the 17,000-tonne Production & Wellhead Platform (PWP) topside is leaving the construction phase behind and moving towards the next crucial stage – offshore installation.

The sail-away represents far more than the transportation of an impressive structure. It is the culmination of the knowledge, dedication and cooperation of thousands of people, including engineers, designers, welders, fabricators, HSE specialists, logistics teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

In total, around 12,000 people have contributed to the Valhall PWP project. This remarkable number reflects both the scale of the undertaking and the vital role of collaboration throughout the entire supply chain.

We would like to congratulate everyone who helped bring Valhall PWP-Fenris to this important stage, including the YABIMO teams who have proudly contributed to this exceptional project.

With the platform now heading offshore, another significant chapter begins. It is an outstanding achievement and an exciting step forward in the continued development of the Valhall field.
