The NHO Vestland conference in Stord brought together business, industry, and public institutions to discuss the future of the region.
Our Client Advisory Manager for the Norwegian market, Christian Fitjar Dahl, attended the event.
The conversations centered on four interconnected challenges:
• How to drive innovation and transformation in practice – not just in theory
• How to stay competitive as pressure grows from Europe, the US, and China
• How to build resilience as crises become less the exception and more the norm
• How to secure access to skilled labor in a market where demand continues to outpace supply
What stood out was not the scale of these challenges – they are well understood – but the quality of the thinking around how to respond to them, and the need to move from discussion to execution.
Vestland has strong foundations. Navigating what lies ahead will require more than industry expertise – it will require adaptability, collaboration, and a willingness to rethink established ways of working. Worth reflecting on, wherever you are in the world.
