Steel barriers and hand railings staircases, Norway

At the beginning of September YABIMO delivered steel barriers and hand railings staircases for the project of a hotel in the area of Oslo. We used steel:  S235JR. Depending on the type of the element, the parts were made of:

• RHS 40x40x3mm – poles (spaced in 1000mm);
• a round bar Ø 12mm – filling (spaced in 100mm);
• CHS 42.4x2mm – double handrails (in railings and in a single handrail assembled to the main staircase walls);
• a flat bar 40x8mm – an upper and lower frame of a railing;
• a round bar Ø 12mm + pl. 4mm – single handrail brackets (spaced in 1000mm) for assembly of the handrail to the main staircase walls.

The total weight of steel was around: 3,5 tons. For corrosion protection we made mix of HDG and powder coating based on the customer specification. Due to smooth communication between the parties the project was delivered without any inconvenience.
